chief meteorologist paul deanno is in walnut creek tonight. we are going there again, huh? >> we are. >> the freeze warning is up for some of you. away from the water, just as cold as it was this morning. closer to the water, a couple of degrees milder. bottom line, below freezing for several hours once again. the mobile weather lab, down to 42 degrees, and we have lost 8 degrees off the high. as soon as the sun went down, the temperatures went down. the dew point, 18 degrees. that's bone dry air. you feeling it? maybe your hands are dry. your cold air over the bay area. freeze warning over the bay area. perhaps not as cold this morning. widespread, mid-20s low 30s. freemont, 32. san francisco dropping down to 42 once again. it's not just cold. we are talking snow. a winter when advisory is in effect for tomorrow night for the east bay hills, above 2500 feet, and we may likely see 2-4 inches of new snowfall as the storm passes built the impact of the snow in the sierra and talk about when it will finally, finally warm up. that's coming up in my full forecast coming up. >> paul, thank

. nancy, rand paul, senator paul was in detroit today. and he laid out an economic strategy. some of which i like and some of which i think was problematic. one of the things he said he wanted to do was to lift the requirements of paying prevailing wage and paying a wage to construction workers that for union construction workers. he said i want to lift that burden from construction companies. we've been talking about raising the wage. do you think it is an i crease in prosperity? >> i think it could be if it creates jobs. as someone who had a record that was not all that rosy, i think should you allow me to answer. when you economic growth, it doesn't matter if you set an artificially high wage. he's talking about lowering the artificially high costs in a state that is hemorrhaging jobs. so when you had other states even with similar manufacturing bases that were doing well, this state was doing poorly. >> you went bankrupt. hello! >> do you know what? hello! >> toyota built flourishing plants in places like tennessee. so higher regulation, higher taxes and you had prevailing wages. >> wa

a chance to befriend everybody, duboise, martin luther king, paul robeson, nelson mandela. out of all the people you have been friends with and struggled with, what makes nelson mandela so uniquely different? >> the people i have been privileged to serve, nelson mandela was the one i least suspected i would ever come to me, personally. i tried several times when he was incarcerated, to gain the privilege of visiting him, but the system would not permit that. himarted corresponding with while he was in prison. i had come to be aware of him through my mentor, the man who i most admired, paul robeson. e was very close to king against thewas apartheid system in the early day of its presence in south africa. he was the first black man to ever receive the nobel prize. looking at south africa from that prison, i began to become more aware of what the african national congress was doing, and what the leadership was aspiring to do, to make the decisions that would help us fight the struggle that the south african people were fighting in resisting apartheid. >> is one thing to work alongside dr

budget guru paul ryan and the senate budget committee chairman are leading the talks. class i am hopeful paul ryan and patty murray will come to a budget agreement and that they can pass both isles in the senate. -- gave us an update on where they were and i am hopeful they will be able to work this out. there is clearly no agreement. click the clock is ticking. there is still much work to be done. time is running out on a budget agreement. we understand negotiations are we alsong and understand there is no final deal. qwest paul ryan says he does not know if they can reach a deal by friday but does they are working on it. what they are working on is a narrow word he'll, trying to ease sequestration. in case a budget deal is not reached him a lawmakers came up with a short-term bill to fund the government, which runs out of money yet again on january 15th. matt out joined the surveillance team this morning. ultimately put agreement together that is a short-term agreement. to me, we will not get out of the political mess until 2016. we are in a situation where the president is not trusted
